Rise Records Finally Sign A Good Band – Meet Defeat The Low

In a move we didn’t think we’d ever live to see, Rise Records have broken the habit of a lifetime and signed a band we finally approve of – get ready to meet Defeat The Low.

The five-piece from Portland, Oregon have a unique sound that sits somewhere between Deftones, Thursday and Brand New perfectly illustrated by new single ‘Turn To Hate’ which was released today via youtube. Their debut album is scheduled for release in the summer of 2014.

Oddly, the band features the label’s owner Craig Ericson on rhythm guitar, which begs the question – if you’re making music this good, what the hell is with the rest of the roster Craig?
