Fresh Chops: Throwing Snow

Fresh Chops today from the solo project of the London-based Ross Tones in the form of Throwing Snow and this delectable new single ‘Avarice’.

Leading up to the June 2nd release of his debut full length LP, Mosaic, he’s shared the introductory track from the record which should please fans of Bonobo and Apparat.

Already an admired & well-recognized artist despite only now releasing his debut full length LP with Houndstooth Records, the producer has a knack for throbbing instrumentals and this new single is no different.

“It’s little pieces of the music I love combined to form a coherent whole” says Tones of his new record “Elements of folk and real instruments combined with drum funk, electronica and samples. I don’t feel I’m in any way using one single influence in any of the tracks, more bringing disparate elements together as a collage. Each part is distinct but when brought together there is a bigger picture where the listener can find points of reference.”
