Fresh Chops: Sean O’Neill
Cinematic, devastatingly beautiful, velvet-like melodies in today’s Fresh Chops from the extremely talented Sean O’Neill on his latest track ‘Vienna’.
The Perth based musician cites Sufjan Stevens, Bill Frisell and Arvo Part as some of his core influences but there’s also plenty of Bon Iver, Bombay Bicycle Club and even a bit of Snow Patrol shining through on the solo EP he released in Australia in 2012.
Now relocated to London, Sean gives us the beautiful slow burning new single which you can listen to below. Rich with ambient textures, honeyed vocals and the soft-sprung metallic twang of acoustic strings, this sumptuous taster of what’s to come surely spells the end of O’Neill’s relative anonymity.
