Taffy Return With New Video have u?
Hailing from the suburbs of Tokyo, our favourite Japanese alt-rockers Taffy are back with a video for new single ‘have u?’ taken from their compilation album ‘Plus +++’ out on Club AC30 records out June 23rd.
Following their critically acclaimed second album ‘Lixiviate’ and a recent UK tour with The Wedding Present, Taffy are establishing themselves as a firm favourite on the UK scene and on ‘have u?’ it’s easy to see why.
Kaleidoscope shoegaze pop gems are given a fuzz-pedal adrenaline shot to the arm and drip with sun-soaked vocals and lead lines that J Mascis would cut a nut off for. Japanese rock doesn’t get much more charming than this, and whilst in places it’s slightly twee and saccharine, you could do a whole lot worse on a sunny day.
