Make Some New Friends With Carousel
Why are we such a sucker for a late night city vibe in a dance track? Whatever it is, the rise of LA based duo Carousel continues apace with new track ‘My New Friend’.
This is divinely dreamy, silky smooth electro-pop that avoids the pitfalls of the genre and stays on the right side of Drive-soundtrack cool, leading to them sharing stages with the likes of Capital Cities, RAC and Canadian singer, Lights.
Speaking on the track, the duo state:
“This is a special song for us. We spent the last few months on the road supporting Cherub, and we didn’t get a chance to do much writing or producing. So this was the first song we wrote when we got home from tour. We wanted to make something that felt like a hazy summer night. Something to get us ready for these next few months.“
