Introducing: Anushka
Here’s a massive new banger to get your teeth into from Brighton duo Anushka in the form of their latest single ‘Mansions’ – a tantalising taste of their forthcoming debut album.
Sometimes an artist comes along with a song that is so bang on trend that it becomes an instant dancefloor classic – we’re calling it now, this is one of those songs.
Inspired by a wild gig at an arts space in Manchester called Antwerp Mansions, it combines one of producer Max Wheeler’s lairier beats (with a decidedly UK garage and Basement Jaxx flavour) with one of singers Victoria Port’s angriest moments of social criticism, delivered in a matter-of-fact vocal attack that puts the finishing sheen on this massive anthem.
