The Ting Tings Return With Wrong Club

Taking a leaf out of the Nile Rogers book of hits, The Ting Tings are back with new single ‘Wrong Club’ – we were prepared for another slice of 2005 indie trash, but what we got instead was some Italo-disco tinged funk with an enormous hook.

This single is a belter, and the new video ain’t half bad either – filmed in an old warehouse in Paris full of lasers, smoke and contemporary dance it’s actually quite an arty affair and matches the more mature music very well indeed.

As front woman Katie White wheels around the warehouse belting out the chorus of “I’m in the wrong club listening to this shit, I’m in the wrong light, someone get me out of it” you can’t help but feel like The Ting Tings are finally making a record they love and yno what? We’re happy for them if this is the end product.

The Ting Tings’ new album ‘Super Critical’ will be released on October 20th.
