Fresh Chops: Seafret

Fresh Chops today in the form of this epic beauty from newcomers Seafret.

The young, Bridlington-based duo release their debut EP ‘Give Me Something’ on Sweet Jane Recordings on September 21st and you can check out the wistful title track below.

Honest and captivating, it’s an instantly infectious acoustic offering that swims with heady harmonies and atmospheric beats in a foggy reflection of their Northern coastal town roots; the result makes for a compelling reason to reach for the repeat button.

Comprised of Jack Sedman (vocals) and Harry Draper (guitar) who, like so many others, met at an open mic night a few years ago, the pair instantly hit it off.

“We wrote our own songs straight out of nowhere,” explains Sedman. “I’d never written a song before. I loved music but had never written it. We clicked instantly. That’s how we learned to write: through playing and the chemistry between us.”
