Fresh Chops: Hawkon
What exactly is a Hawkon? You might well ask, we’re not really sure, but today’s Fresh Chops are his floaty new single ‘Touching Air’.
This super chill track is speared with a jarring, discordant glitchy sample that pulls you out of the laid-back groove and is a clever piece of production in itself. Hawkon’s gentle falsetto and R&B harmonies compliment the surprisingly emotional intuitiveness of this excellent electronica.
This is the first track from forthcoming EP – ‘Dare To Follow’ – which will be released in mid October.
A Kaiku x Noisey show in Berlin on September 4 will be followed by his first London headline show at The Sebright Arms on September 17.
