We’re very pleased to be premiering the atmospheric new video for ‘Trick of the Light’ – the first single from Alexander Wolfe‘s forthcoming album ‘From The Shallows’ (out on 5th October).
The video was directed by Oliver Lansley and Aadel Nodeh-Farahani, and produced by Neil Edison. It features comedian Spencer Jones and award winning actor Conrad Sharp, as well as Alexander.
‘From The Shallows’ is an album of beautifully crafted songs, developed and produced over a number of years. Acoustically led, it flits from uplifting and optimistic to intimate and reflective, with a devilishly haunting undertone that matches perfectly with Alexander’s vocal.
Coming back from a sabbatical on his album work, Alexander Wolfe has had a prolific music career that goes beyond his albums. In 2012, he wrote the score and performed the music for ‘The Trench’, a theatre production written by Oliver Lansley described as ‘Perfect’, ‘Epic’ and ‘Powerful’ amongst many other superlatives, and received over 25 five and seven four star reviews. It was first performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2012, and due to huge demand, it returned in 2013, and toured the UK in between, playing to sell-out crowds every night. It was due to the incredible reception the show received that postponed the recording of the album.
Alexander will tour with the production through the UK again in October. A trailer can be viewed here
