A beautiful new track from The Magic Lantern today taken from his latest album ‘Love of Too Much Living’ – you can listen to the spine tingling ‘Harvest Moon’ below.
“In crowds I feel lonelier than ever” croons the ex-pat Aussie now residing in London (aka Jamie Doe) on this delicate acoustic offering that lyrically tips a hat to the Neil Young album of the same name, although Doe actually shares more in common with fellow UK anti-folk star Johnny Flynn, not least in the rich and lustrous quality that his syrupy vocal takes on as it thickly coats a twinkling guitar melody.
This is quintessentially English sounding and a perfect Autumnal treat as the nights draw in. Lovely stuff.
