Bridie Jackson & The Arbour

Fresh from their first major UK headline tour for the launch of their album, New Skin, Bridie Jackson and The Arbour announce a new string of live dates for autumn 2014.
Known for their love of quirky venues and intimate live shows, the Newcastle band’s autumn tour dates don’t disappoint; taking in a gig on a boat (in fact a replica of the HM Bark Endeavour), and performances in two churches, an old hairdressers, an art gallery, and a central London ‘eco-venue’.

Bridie and her Arbour are a midnight dark yet airily bright breath of fresh folkish air” – Clash

Bridie Jackson and The Arbour have had a hugely successful year following 2013’s Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition win, with radio play on BBC 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 Music, a sold out album launch show at Gateshead Old Town Hall, and numerous festival appearances across the summer.

The girls are celebrating the tour announcement by offering a free download of their latest single, live favourite, Diminutive Man. Diminutive Man is an upbeat, bluegrass-influenced number, which Bridie laughingly suggests was “inspired by some of the losers I’ve known”. It features on their second album, New Skin, which has
received support from the likes of Tom Robinson, Dermot O’Leary, Lauren Laverne, Steve Lamacq, Guy Garvey, The Mail on Sunday, The Guardian and The Telegraph.

The free download, gig details and ticket links are all available from the band’s website:
