Fresh Chops: Kairos 4tet

London jazz ensemble Kairos 4tet have just released this belting remix of their track ‘Narrowboat Man’ by London electronica quintet Duologue.

The original version of Narrowboat Man was a haunting, folky number recorded at Peter Gabriel’s inspirational Real World Studios, but the remix is another intelligent and timely collaboration from Duologue that romps valiantly into the world of future garage, also taking in elements of darker, progressive house.

An intriguing take on the spine-tingling original, it’s easy to see why Kairos 4tet have been nominated for a MOBO prize.
