Introducing: Normanton Street

Introducing: Normanton Street

Some more fresh hip hop today from the wildly soulful Normanton Street, the cool as a cucumber trio based in Brighton and consisting of core members Ned, Nicholson & Phoebe.

Jazzy guitars and bass push a heavy West Coast sound whilst regional accents spit water tight rhymes and Phoebe’s soulful croons wash over tight, rhythmic drums – it all begs the question, why aren’t this lot causing as much fuss in the media as Young Fathers, Hawk House et al? This is gripping stuff from some seriously promising UK newcomers.

Their debut five track EP Much Respect is released on 31st October and available to purchase via the band’s bandcamp page.
