Drawing all sorts of praise from every angle imaginable at the moment, we’re very proud to premiere the brand new video from Oxford space-pop/shoegaze quintet Flights of Helios.
You can watch the video for ‘Succubus’ below, exclusively with Glasswerk.
Earthy electronica layered with reverb-drenched, post rock, guitar-drones and proggy, chanting vocals make the video a perfect match for this heady track, as it weaves its way through British countryside and isolated roads on a trippy journey into the ether.
“Succubus takes inspiration from the ancient myth of the Succubus” comment the band on the single “a sleep paralysis related, sexually charged hallucination that has been depicted as a female demon in British folk lore and many other cultures across the world for millennia.”
Currently recording their forthcoming album in North Oxfordshire with genius producer Richard Neuberg of cult gothic Americana band Viarosa, ‘Succubus’ is released digitally on 31st October 2014.
