Joanna Gruesome Stream Psykick Espionage

Prepare for a whole lot of hyperbole. Joanna Gruesome are fucking brilliant. If you don’t believe us why don’t you listen to their caustic, joyously frenetic new single ‘Psykick Espionage’ below. See, we told you.

X-Ray Spex riot girl angst meets Graham Coxon swagger and Sandie Shaw pop in this indiepunk scorcher that hurtles recklessly onto the dancefloor in a whirlwind of drunken nightclub bliss. Stick this on at Club NME and watch the place explode.

The Cardiff-based noisepop group have teamed up with their American cousins Perfect Pussy to release a four song split 7″ EP which comes packaged in a 24-page comic book, illustrated by cartoonist Phil McAndrew (brother of Perfect Pussy’s guitarist Ray McAndrew).

The EP is being co-released by Fortuna POP!, Captured Tracks and Slumberland on 24 November.
