My Pleasure (aka Lewis Young) is a DIY solo project from Hull. Wait…come back…it’s not as depressing as it sounds, honestly!
Debut single ‘I Wanna Die / I Don’t Wanna Die’ is a double A-side which you can stream now below – it’s available as a free download on the official release date of Monday 24th November.
Previous track ‘Living With You’ is a nice introduction to their wide range of influences, coming on a bit like an LCD Soundystem remix of Blur’s intensely catchy ‘Girls and Boys’ played through a broken amp on a second hand guitar in a disgusting toilet circuit venue – we mean all that in a really, really good way.
The lyrics for ‘I Wanna Die’ were apparently written by My Pleasure’s 4-year-old step-daughter, Holly Mae (she is adamant the song is not about death, but Snow White instead).
