Star Wars In 100 Scenes Review

swWith Christmas just around the corner, books are always a perfect and easy to get gift. And what more could a young Star Wars fan want than a book recounting the 100 most important scenes of the saga. DK Books have released this colourful and easy to follow guide bringing you from start to finish – for now – of what has happened in the Star Wars universe.

Beginning with episode one, the books hurtles through a young Anakin Skywalker’s growing up to become the powerful Jedi that he was destined to be, and with his rise comes his fall and redemption. But on the outskirts of this plot are the stories being told within each episode, and each is highly detailed. Each two page spread focuses on one scene in particular, and within it picking out notable characters, locations, vehicles and much more.

There is a also a description of what’s going on – such as Anakin’s first meeting with the Jedi Council in The Phantom Menace, or Obi-Wan telling Luke his destiny. But within each of these pivotal scenes are the little tidbits of information that you may not have known. Why does Darth Maul have those tattoos on his face? Why is it that Darth Vader can’t create Force lightening like The Emperor can?

These, and much more facts, are alluded to over the course of this deftly concise book, but one so easy to follow that no young fan will be able to put it down. An easy way to get back into the franchise, and to refresh your memory ahead of the release of The Force Awakens, Star Wars in 100 Scenes is a must for any young fan of the saga which has gripped so many young people in the past.
