Fresh Chops: Meat Wave

We can categorically state that soon enough you won’t be able to move on the blogosphere for articles about Meat Wave.

The Chicago trio are set to be the first release on the newly-founded Brace Yourself Records, bastion of cool and curators of curious music that seem to hit the nail on the head with everything they touch.

Their first release on the label comes in the form of the Brother EP (BY001): seven tracks of tense, rapid fire punk that also carries shades of psychedelia and surf – it’s all exceptionally á la mode and we guarantee that people are going to be falling over themselves about this band in the coming months. If you like to be up on the latest buzz, you’d best check this lot out ASAP – bonus points if you’ve checked out their 2012 self titled tape release.

Brother is available in the UK and US from January 19, 2015.

The band bring their acclaimed live show to the UK for the first time in January 2015 to coincide with the Brother EP’s UK release.
