A strong week for rock fest announcements with some huge names announced from a variety of Europe’s biggest festivals – if you’re looking to mix sunshine, booze and riffs then you could do a lot worse than checking out a few of these foreign affairs, along with a couple of affordable closer-to-home fests who are still putting together outsanding lineups…

IMPERICON Festival 2015

Newly located at the 2500 Manchester Academy for next year’s event, Impreicon Festival have revealed that SUICIDE SILENCE (UK Exclusive), STICK TO YOUR GUNS and BLACK TONGUE will be joining the bill. With even more killer bands to be announced and a £5 cheaper ticket price (early bird is just £22), IMPERICON FESTIVAL promises to be the UK’s fastest growing metal and hardcore festival. The new additions join THE GHOST INSIDE, WHITECHAPEL, ADEPT and DEEZ NUTS.

Takedown Festival 2015

Batten down the hatches – Takedown Festival 2015 has announced the return of those crazy cats Baby Godzilla. No inanimate object is safe. They join the wonderfully full-on Rolo Tomassi, groove meisters Zoax, Essex lads Create to Inspire, rockers Forever Never, extreme tech metallers Meta-stasis, local fellas Seething Akira and Gone By Tomorrow, We Deny and Old Boy.

BLOODSTOCK 2015

Feeling the winter chill creeping in? BLOODSTOCK to the rescue then, with three more bands announced to get you hot under the collar. Norwegian extremists ENSLAVED are added to BLOODSTOCK’s Main Stage next summer, Finnish folk metal six-piece KORPIKLAANI are set to join the fray in a UK exclusive appearance, whilst New York hardcore stalwarts, PRO-PAIN will also be decimating the Main Stage.

BLOODSTOCK will be held at Catton Park, Derbyshire on 6th-9th August 2015.

EXIT Festival 2015

Rock has always had a special place at EXIT – the 2015 leg now honours and welcomes rock’n’roll legends MOTÖRHEAD and California rockers EAGLES OF DEATH METAL, plus the best representatives of the local rock scene, ŠKRTICE and EYESBURN. 15 years of EXIT will be celebrated in grand style in July 2015 where EXIT Festival will be held from 9th to 12th July at the Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, while the second Sea Dance Festival will be held from 16th to 18th July at Jaz beach in Montenegro.

UK TECH-FEST 2015

Returning in 2015 for its fourth year and kicking things off with a huge band announcement, Tech Fest are promising to once again deliver the most forward thinking metal line up the UK has seen. Technical death metal legends DECAPITATED (UK Exclusive) will be one of the headliners who are joined by prog-metallers THE CONTORTIONIST (UK Exclusive) and rising prog stars HAKEN, plus the following 14 boundary pushing acts: Cyclamen, Slice The Cake (Worldwide Exclusive Debut), Plini (Europe Exclusive Debut), Sithu Aye (Worldwide Exclusive Debut), Novelists, Shokran (UK Exclusive Debut), The Room Colored Charlatan, Sectioned , The Dali Thundering Concept , Kardashev, The Parallel, FOES, She Was The Universe, Hieroglyph.

Tickets are £59.95 plus £20 camping.
