A huge week for festival news around the world this week of all sizes and genres – we’ve got updates from the metal community at Bloodstock, Swedish festival Where’s The Music? plus further announcements for Polish festivals, homegrown events and more.
BLOODSTOCK 2015
More additions from Bloodstock Festival today as they reveal Delain, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Battalion, Mordred & Destrage have all been added to the line up. Not got your tickets yet? The festival’s very popular deposit scheme, that allows you purchase your ticket in 3 installments, is now up and running. Festival goers have until midnight on 7th March to subscribe to the plan, with the initial payment being taken on the day of sign up.
Standon Calling 2015
This year Standon Calling have announced that they will be bringing back the secret areas of their early years. “We want to create as many opportunities as possible for you to stumble into unexpected worlds” say the festival “To make this happen we will be making some exciting changes to the arena, but don’t worry, we’ll keep the Cowshed and swimming pool in the same place so you don’t get too disoriented after a few pints!”
The festival have also dropped their first hint about the theme for 2015: “All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost…”
Where’s the Music? 2015
With a little less than a month to go, soon it’s time for three packed festival days in central Norrköping, Sweden with over 100 artists. Ten new acts have been added to the festival program including, among others, OMI, Far & Son, Aurora, Dovelike, Durango Riot, Haunted by Destiny, Junkstars, Raindear, Sekuoia, The Hearing.

REWIND The 80s Festival

Lemonfest 2015
Lemonfest returns for the 6th annual installment of its 1 day festival (with camping) and will once again take place at Newton Abbot Racecourse 30th May 2015. One of the premiere boutique festivals in the UK and a fast-growing staple of the festival circuit, reputation for line-ups and attractions that punch well above their weight sees the announcement of DJ Yoda, Dub Pistols, Beans on Toast, Matthew & Me and Seven Cities, plus local talents King Tuts Revenge and A$$ Munch. Early bird tickets are available now starting at a staggeringly low £20 and only £30 with camping.
OFF Festival Katowice 2015
Run the Jewels, one of the most exciting acts on the hip-hop scene in recent years, and Sunn O))), the band that gave new meaning to the term “extreme metal” have both been announced for Katowice 2015 alongside The Julie Ruin, Girl Band, Jacek Sienkiewicz, and Kristen. A truly unique boutique music festival, OFF Festival takes place annually in August in ‘Three Lake Valley’, Katowice – a beautiful green oasis in the heart of industrial Silesia. OFF Festival is a way of life, one that flies in the face of current trends and stays true to itself, and the ethos of organiser Artur Rojek is firmly aimed at supporting art and music with the festival bringing many acts to Poland for the first time.
Primavera Sound Festival 2015
Following on from their sold out UK tour dates scheduled for May 2015, American Football have now announced that they will be performing at Primavera Sound on Saturday 30th May 2015. This will see the band performing alongside acts such as Brand New, Mineral, Run The Jewels, Death From Above 1979, Belle & Sebastian and more. This will also be the band’s first European performance to date.
Isle of Wight Festival 2015
As the first month of the year draws to a close, the first festival of the summer, The Isle of Wight Festival, today reveals a whopping eighteen brand new acts. Groove Armada, Chicks on Speed, Coasts, Ruen Brothers, Pretty Vicious and Visconti & Woodmansey with Glenn Gregory are all confirmed to perform over the weekend of 11-14 June, alongside a host of exciting acts who will play on The Garden Stage including James Walsh, Tim Arnold and Ben Montague.
