Track of the Day: Cairobi – Zoraide

With a new psychedelic brand of world-music inspired pop, breakthrough outfit Cairobi are set to release their debut EP ‘Distant Fire’ via Week of Wonders on 23rd February.

Ahead of the release, you can stream their beautiful new track ‘Zoraide’ today which pulls in aspects of South American, African and Western music to create a sumptuous melting pot of influences.

The multi-national five-piece hailing from Austria, Italy, Mexico and France, recently settled in London to hone their distinctive sound, conjuring an exotic atmosphere that have seen the band compared to the likes of Animal Collective and The Flaming Lips.

If you want to catch them live, Cairobi will debut their new material at Dalston’s Shacklewell Arms on Wednesday 21st January as Eat Your Own Ears play host to the group’s first UK live date.

The Distant Fire EP is out 23rd February.
