Welcome back to another round of the festival news bulletin – this weekend saw a bumper crop of announcements so we’ve tidied them up into one handy little rundown for you, aren’t we nice? Loads of news from a whole of events as per usual, including some big names and surprise announcements – on with the show:
Belladrum 2015
Kaiser Chiefs have been announced to headline the Saturday night of this year’s Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival (6th – 8th August 2015; Beauly, Inverness-shire) in a Scottish festival exclusive and their first ever appearance at any Highland festival. Joining them on the line-up are Glasgow’s hot new indie band Honeyblood and Scots pop upstart KLOË plus: hot trad outfit Manran; Highland favourites Scooty & The Skyhooks who play the main stage on Bella’s new Thursday third day; Martin Stephenson & The Daintees; MacFloyd; Tantz; Torridon; Coco & The Butterfields; The New Madrids; Blackbeard’s Tea Party; Dizraeli & The Small Gods; Goat Roper Rodeo Band and Rusty Shackle.
Hijacked Festival 2015
This summer, inner-city one-day music and culture event Hijacked Festival 2015 conquers Oxford and returns to Exeter, pulling no punches in its determination to make a difference in 2015. Taking on Oxford for the first time on Friday May 22nd, before heading back to Exeter on Saturday May 30th, the venues, lineups and ticket information is all coming soon.

Deadpunk Special 2015
The multi stage Deadpunk Special put together by Deadpunk promotions in Bristol has been building up some great traction in recent years, and the 2015 event takes place at The Exchange & The Stag and Hounds in Bristol on 9th May. The following bands have been announced: Off With Their Heads, Bangers, Bear Trade, Twisted, Vanilla Pod, All We Have, Bad Ideas, Guerrilla Monsoon, Losing Sleep, Mark McCabe, Petrol Girls, Quiet Man, Bloodbuzz, Catherine McClain and Young Adventurers.

Ramblin’ Man Fair 2015
Ramblin’ Man Fair is delighted to announce further acts to join the already impressive bill. The Rock Collective and TeamRock presents… event will bring the best of Classic Rock, Progressive Rock, Country and Blues to Mote Park in Maidstone, Kent over the weekend of 25th and 26th July 2015. Saturday 25th July will see the following Main Stage additions (with more still to be announced): Dream Theater, Saxon, Blue Oyster Cult, FM and No Hot Ashes. More acts for all stages are set to be announced soon.

Calling Festival 2015
Live Nation today announced Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds as the headliner for Calling Festival, which takes place in Clapham Common on Saturday 4 July 2015. Ryan Adams, The Hives and Echo and the Bunnymen are also confirmed for the bill. Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 6 February. Further lineup announcements to follow in the coming weeks.

Live At Leeds Festival 2015
Having beaten off the likes of The Great Escape and Liverpool Sound City to win the coveted ‘Best Metropolitan Festival’ at the UK Festival Awards, Live At Leeds is back for 2015 with a plethora of exciting acts across a multitude of venues. Leading the charge amongst the first 100 bands to be announced Carl Barat & The Jackals featuring the Libertines legend with his new band, London alternative rockers Dry The River, the brainy art-pop of Dutch Uncles, Leeds’ noisiest sons Eagulls, the BBC 6 Music championed songwriting of Emmy The Great, ex-Supergrass main man Gaz Coombes, the incredible wordplay of BBC Sound Of shortlisted George The Poet and Leeds psych rockers Hookworms. Pop heroes Lawson, Grammy nominated singer and producer MNEK, rising punk upstarts Slaves, indie favourites Spector, the rip-roaring folk of Stornoway, MOBO Award winner Stormzy, British-Australian quartet Sunset Sons, Birmingham indie poppers Swim Deep, living legend of noise and punk in the guise of his Thurston Moore Band and Scottish indie rockers We Were Promised Jetpacks will also provide must see sets.
With a supporting cast of incredible talent including North London sibling trio Jagaara, hotly tipped Canadian songwriter Tobias Jesso Jr, Welsh punks Joanna Gruesome and Nottingham duo Childhood making up the 200 bands across the weekend this is one not to be missed.
Sziget Festival 2015
Sziget Festival, recently crowned as the Best Major Festival in Europe by the European Festival Awards, has confirmed that Robbie Williams will headline the starting day of the one week long festival holiday in Budapest. The Island of Freedom will host the next stop of the ‘Let Me Entertain You Tour’ of Robbie on 10 August (officially called Sziget Day -1) that is included in the 7 Days Pass. Day -1 tickets are also available in a limited number. Robbie will join the already announced Florence and the Machine, Alt-J, Blasterjaxx, Jamie Woon, Blasterjaxx, Fauve, José Gonzalez, Subways, Babylon Circus, Kadebostany with more to be announced soon.
Malasimbo 2015
One of the worlds most stunning festivals, Malasimbo Music & Arts Festival today announced the first acts for it’s double weekender festival 5th birthday celebrations this March. Nestled on a stunning island mountain top in the Philippines, Malasimbo is truely an awe-inpsiring life changing adventure festival, set over 2 weekends this year and encompassing an outstanding music and arts line up.
