Beth Jeans Houghton Announces Name Change to Du Blonde for New Material
Ahead of a new album and tour dates, Beth Jeans Houghton has announced a name change to Du Blonde.
“This is a new sound, a new project” said Houghton of the decision “Du Blonde is a new incarnation and one step closer to assuming my ultimate form. Having freed myself from the rusty and bloody shackles of Beth Jeans Houghton – both musically and spiritually – I felt it only right to step forth under a new name and let the rituals commence.”
A brand new album will be released this spring on Mute Records under the new name and signalling a big change in musical direction. She will step out with her first live performances in February, playing the Roundhouse Rising Festival at the Roundhouse, London and a hometown show in Newcastle at the 6Music Festival.
