After 15 years at the forefront of the UK clubbing scene, Chibuku club night have announced the gargantuan line up for their huge 15th Birthday celebration on Saturday 14th March 2015.
Starting at Liverpool’s impressive Camp & Furnace venue for a day time event, they’ll then be moving on to the club’s spiritual home at Arts Club where some very special top secret guest performances are in the pipeline, and culminating in the now legendary after party at The Magnet.
Featuring performances from big names including Annie Mac, Andy C, David Rodigan MBE, Fourtet, Joy Orbison, George Fitzgerald, Jackmaster, Ben UFO, Benji B , Oneman, EZ and DJ Craze plus a host of Chibuku resident DJs and friends from throughout the years, this one promises to be the biggest and boldest party they’ve hosted to date.
Veteran DJ and long-time friend of the club Annie Mac (recently announced as Zane Lowe’s replacement at BBC Radio One) had the following to say about appearing on the bill; “I’m delighted to be appearing amongst such an esteemed group of DJs for Chibuku’s 15th birthday. I’ve had some of my best nights out ever in the Theatre at Chibuku, both on the dance floor and on the stage. I’ve been attending the club night for over ten years and it’s still as exciting and atmospheric as ever.”
As one of only a handful of UK clubs who’ve managed to make it to their fifteenth year, this cross genre behemoth will only serve to underscore the night’s lasting relevance and importance to electronic music around the world – long may it continue.
