OH MY GOD SOMEONE RING THE ‘ASH ARE BACK’ KLAXON. ASH ARE BACK.
Did we mention that Ash are back? Yep, you heard us right, Tim Wheeler and friends return with brand new track ‘Cocoon’ today alongside news of a June UK tour and a new bastard album. A WHOLE NEW ASH ALBUM.
The band will also be showcasing songs from the new album at a one off show at London’s Barfly TONIGHT and tickets have just gone on sale.
120 tickets are available from 9am today, at the Ash-tastic price point of £19.77 from – https://dice.fm/ash
We really used to like Ash a lot, can you tell? Luckily for us, the track is an absolute ripper – classic power pop and the first single from their forthcoming studio album Kablammo!
Commenting on the new material, the band said: “We set out to capture the live essence of Ash, the closest sonic predecessor would be 2004’s ‘Meltdown’, with the songwriting of the ‘Free All Angels’ singles. . We’ve stripped away the electronic overtones of the A-Z series and made a streamlined blazing guitar record. On every song you can hear what makes this band tick, our beating (atomic) heart. It’s a visceral expression of what has driven us since 1992. Passion, melody and Ash.”
