Introducing: Beach Baby

As much as we hate to admit it, sometimes a dropped name goes a long way – in the case of Beach Baby all it took was the mention that this was the new project from Jungle’s management and Chess Club Records and we were sold – we had to give it a spin.

Things worked out okay in the end though, because new single ‘Ladybird’ artfully sidestepped the hype trap and delivered a fresh, chill slice of summery pop that shimmered its way beautifully towards a reverb-soaked conclusion in a very satisfying way indeed.

The London-based four-piece are bang on trend with their mixture of contemporary electronica, 80s new wave and 90s shoegaze and ‘Ladybird’ will be released on March 30th via Chess Club Records /B3SCI.

The band will play their first ever live shows around the UK in April (featuring a London date at Courtyard Theatre on April 15th) on top of supporting Jungle in Paris on March 29th.

Sun 29th March – Paris, La Cigale (w/Jungle)
Weds 8th April – Brighton, Prince Albert
Thurs 9th April – Salford, Eagle Inn
Sat 11th April – Cardiff, Dim Swn Festival
Weds 15th April – London, Courtyard Theatre
