Track of the Day: Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith – Sundry

It’s Friday. What’s Friday all about? Fun, that’s what.

Luckily for you, Sean Hellfritsch’s video for Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith‘s ‘Sundry’ is about as much fun as you can have without taking your clothes off.

The track is a fresh selection from Kaitlyn’s solo debut Euclid, which was primarily written on a Buchla Music Easel synthesizer. It’s a flighty, fun-filled number that flits and dances with completely carefree abandon in a frankly joyous manner. What’s not to love about this track? Couple it with the incredible slow motion video and we’re talking Serious Friday Vibez.

As Smith explains of her creative process on the new record, “We each chose a 3D shape and assigned our own guidelines to the different components that make up the shape. For example each point of the shape represents a different time signature, each line between the points represents a pitch, each shape within the closed lines represents a scale, etc. And then you play the shape.

Check out the playful groove of ‘Sundry’ here, prepare to fall in love immediately:
