Bloody hell, this week’s episode of the festival news is bigger than Madonna falling off stage at the BRIT Awards – we’ve got massive additions from all the big hitters including Download, Reading and Leeds, Slam Dunk, Hevy Fest and Camden Rocks. Hevy Fest 2015
Californian post-hardcore heavyweights THRICE have been announced to headline Hevy Fest 2015 following a 3 year hiatus. This UK exclusive re-union performance will close the Main Stage on Saturday 15th August. Progressive metal masters COHEED AND CAMBRIA will top the bill on Friday 14th August, with an exclusive performance of their seminal record IN KEEPING SECRETS OF SILENT EARTH : 3, plus a few surprises to close their set. Also joining the line up are Missouri emo ensemble THE GET UP KIDS, who will grace the main stage with an eagerly anticipated performance of the classic album SOMETHING TO WRITE HOME ABOUT from start to end. TOUCHE AMORE also join the line up, as do rap metallers HACKTIVIST, thrash metallers BLACK TUSK, BABY GODZILLA, CONTINENTS, CREEPER, FORT HOPE, FATHOMS, THE COLOUR LINE and WRAITHS.

End of The Road Festival 2015
End Of The Road is delighted to welcome My Morning Jacket to this year’s festival. The Kentucky five-piece, famed for their transcendent live performances, haven’t played in the UK since 2011 and are due to release their seventh album in 2015. Elsewhere, the Heavenly Recordings label will be curating the treasured Garden Stage on Saturday in honour of their 25th Birthday, bringing with them the legendary Mark Lanegan Band to headline the Garden Stage, St Etienne who will be performing their classic 1991 album (and Heavenly’s first ever album) Fox Base Alpha in full, festival favourites Stealing Sheep, newcomer Eaves and strange pop champion H Hawkline. A whole host of new artists are set to join the legends on this year’s bill too. Jacco Gardner will be providing the finest in Dutch baroque pop, Welsh punks Joanna Gruesome will be bringing their frenzied noise, R. Seiliog will be there with his late night experimental house outings, whilst the ever-burgeoning Marika Hackman is set to deliver the beautiful, bruised sounds of her critically acclaimed debut album We Slept At Last. End Of The Road will also introduce Beth Jeans Houghton’s new avant-garde project Du Blonde, as well as welcoming Mary Timony’s ragged riot grrrl project Ex-Hex and Howe Gelb’s Giant Sand collective.

Camden Rocks Festival 2015
More names have been added to the already incredible line-up of acts playing this year’s huge Camden Rocks festival – taking place Saturday 30th May. UK and US rock royalty comes together with Ginger Wildheart and Richie Ramone both being added to the bill. Other names including punk legends Anti Nowhere League and reformed Britpoppers Menswe@r perform a very special 20th anniversary show, alongside hot rock property Jettblack, Dolomite Minor, Brawlers and a whole host more – including a very special secret headline to be announced.

Reading & Leeds Festival 2015
Reading & Leeds Festivals are thrilled to announce The Libertines as the final of this year’s Main Stage headliners! The indie-rockers will bring the good ship Albion to the Festivals this summer, cementing a Reading & Leeds legacy which dates back to 2002. 2000 Trees Festival 2015
Scottish indie rockers Idlewild will play the main stage at the award-winning 2000trees Festival, having just launched their new album Everything Ever Written. The Subways will headline the Thursday Early Entry Evening, returning to the three-day event following a headline performance in 2010. Also announced today are We Are The Ocean, And So I Watch You From Afar, Acollective, Creeper, Great Cynics, Blaenavon, Lloyd Yates, Jake Isaac, Get Inuit, Rebecca Clements and Bare Knuckle Parade. The festival has just launched a VIP backstage ticket which includes backstage and side of stage access, VIP bar, priority entry, loads of free goodies and a heads up on the secret sets. It also unveiled a Golden Ticket competition to win a free upgrade to a VIP backstage ticket – open to everyone who buys a ticket before March 15.
