Fresh Chops: Leon Bridges

In a week where we’ve been mercilessly and unrelentingly subjected to the grey, bland bullshit of the Brit Awards it’s a pleasure to receive some new music from the frankly outstanding Leon Bridges.

Just when you think real music might finally have curled up inside itself and died, this young Texan musician is due to save us all when he arrives in the UK for his first live sold out performance in London, playing The Lexington on the 2nd March.

New single ‘Lisa Sawyer’ is an achingly tender and swooning mixture of soul, R&B and gospel influences that showcase Bridges’ stunning vocal.
