Track of the Day: The Soft Moon – Desertion

Blimey, here’s what you get when you cross Nine Inch Nails with Gesaffelstein and Soft Cell, a massive new banger from The Soft Moon.

‘Desertion’ is a seething, pulsing mass of synths and snare cracks that manages to channel the 80’s while keeping one foot in the brutal, forward thinking techno of 2015 – on other words, it’s an absolute stomper.

Chillingly gothic industrial touches aside, this eerie, immersive track is somehow also packed full of melody and emotion; a rare talent indeed.

Known better as Luis Vasquez to his friends, TSM will release his third album ‘Deepervia Captured Tracks’ on 30th March via Captured Tracks – you can catch him live in the UK this May.

UK Live Dates:

5.25 – London, UK – The Garage §
5.26 – Leeds, UK – The Brudenell Social Club §
