A slick and soulful slice of hip hop from Albany crew Mirk here featuring a searing hot vocal from Tara Merritt on their new track ‘Let It Go’.

Coming in somewhere between early Black Eyed Peas, Aretha Franklin and Alt-J, this intriguing seven piece pricked up our eyes today with the second of four singles in support of their forthcoming full-length Run, out now.

In addition to writing and performing all of Mirk’s music, Joshua “Mirk” Mirksy has also produced music for Jay-Z, Petey Pablo, Eamon, Ciara, and Young Jeezy. With credentials like that, it’s easy to see why this searing new track leapt to the front of our list today.
