Friday 20th March sees the return of The Smith’s Mike Joyce to Proud Camden for the second instalment of his brand new curated club night. And Mike has made it clear that this isn’t just a straight up indie night, indeed, guests should be prepared for a full-on selection encompassing indie, northern soul, house, disco, hip hop and rock n roll being spun by the man himself and a handful of specially selected DJ cohorts.
All of which has not even touched on the live music line-up for the evening that will be sure to kick off the weekend in style.
A packed bill includes Laxmi, The Only Braves, Victories, and is headlined by urban songstress, Flo. Those of the MySpace generation may recognise Flo and remember her fondly from synth-scamps, Flamboyant Bella, but a new direction now beckons, with a hip-hop inspired mixtape released last year and her music featured by urban music platform SBTV, it is remarkable to note that Proud’s live showcase will mark Flo’s solo debut performance.
