Straight up rock and roll – one of the most difficult things to do simply and, more importantly, well. Making it look like a veritable walk in the park are Table Scraps with new single ‘Electricity’ released 13th April.
This duo from Birmingham release their debut album ‘More Time For Strangers’ on June 5th 2015 and are barely a year old. It seems that Scott Vincent Abbott and Poppy Twist are already stirring up a wave of hype and have a healthy collection of support slots under their belt – it’s easy to see why with one listen to this caustic, no-nonsense cut of pure and unadulterated rock and roll.
“We wanted to maintain creative control,” explains Scott of their DIY ethics “And it gave us the time to figure out how to make the record dark and brooding, or screaming and explosive, in equal measure.”
This blood-curdling, sleazy slab of sweat-soaked, leather jacket-clad, garage-influenced surf punk is sure to turn a few heads; get on board for a wild ride before these ripples turn into tidal waves.
‘Electricity’ is out on April 13th 2015 through Hells Teeth.
