Track of the Day: Canvas – Growing Up
There must be something special in that Mersey water at the moment because Liverpool is churning out exciting young bands like nobodies business – CANVAS are the latest we’ve come across with new track ‘Growing Up’.
There’s little to be found online but their solitary track has already racked up 50,000+ plays on Soundcloud – not bad for a gang of 17 year old friends with barely one foot out of their local scene.
The single is a heartfelt glance at the pressure we all face as we head into adulthood, with a sentiment that still rings true for most of us; “I’m quite scared of growing up. I’m 17, let’s go have fun. I’m tired of thinking about my future now, I take every day as it comes”.
