Track of the Day: Girlpool – Before The World Was Big

Philadelphia by way of Los Angeles duo, Girlpool make our track of the day spot today with the title track from their debut album, Before The World Was Big, due out on June 1st via Wichita Recordings.

The new material comes alongside the announcement of a UK headline gig at Dalston Roof Gardens & a Waxahatchee support slot, in addition to the previously announced festival appearances at End of The Road and Bestival.

Their stripped-back, simplistic approach combines with bluntly honest confessional lyricism to create an alluringly basic brand of lo-fi punk which still retains all the guts of a much larger outfit. Raucous stuff.
