Video of the day: Phobophobes – Make A Person

Here’s an absolute beauty of a new video from Phobophobes, the London psych-rockers who have unleashed this darkly cinematic short-film, starring William Hoyland of Star Wars and Hell Boy fame.

‘Make A Person’ is the perfect match, a frenzied and skittish offering that climaxes in a crescendo of noise alongside a macabre narrative exploring age and immortality.

Front man Jamie Taylor explains the meaning of the phrase in the song title is “a stark way of looking at humanity. It’s a purposefully unromantic song about procreation”.

Catch them live here:

1st May – Kings Church, Ramsgate
3rd May – NXNW Festival, London
8th May – The Windmill, Brixton
24-25 May – Liverpool Psych Fest
