T in the Park Festival Named “”Best Value For Money””

T in the Park 2015 has been named as this years best value music festival, according to research by a leading moneysaving website.

The study compared the prices of seven festival tickets to the costs of seeing the headline acts separately and the number of acts playing. With weekend tickets priced at £194, festival T in the Park is best value due to their star-studded line up.

Featuring acts like Kasabian, David Guetta, Sam Smith and Rudimental, ordinarily the cost to see all the main headliners live would set you back £299.43. With 109 acts playing at the Scottish festival, the cost the weekend camping ticket means you’re paying just £1.80 per act.

The worst value festival this year is Bestival, with tickets setting you back £195 to see their headliners, The Chemical Brothers, Underworld and Duran Duran.

With only 53 acts playing, you’ll be paying £3.60 per act not to mention travel expenses over to Isle of Wight for the weekend.

Next best in value to T in the Park was dance music festival Creamfields with 96 main stage acts included in the £220 ticket prices meaning £2.29 per act. The line up includes European stars like Avicii, Armin Van Buuren and Tiësto who rarely tour the UK, making this festival great value for money.

Closely following was Download festival, where you can see rock legends like Slipknot, Muse, KISS and many others for £215. You can see all three of these rock gods now for £140 but the rest of the festival means you’ll be paying juts £2.36 per act.

Reading/Leeds festival was the next with weekend camping tickets priced at £213. With 85 acts playing, this ticket would add up to paying £2.50 per act. However research has found that you can see this festival’s headliners of Mumford & Sons, Metallica and The Libertines all separately in concert for £165.

Next up is V Festival, with tickets costing £199.95 for its small but star-studded line up meaning £3.93 per act. But with the quality of the 51 acts playing, including chart toppers like Calvin Harris, Stereophonics, Ellie Goulding, Paloma Faith and Sam Smith, the team at valued it higher than Bestival.

Ordinarily, going to see each of the headline acts live would set you back £227.50 so by going to V festival you would save 13%.

With the Glastonbury festival line up announced this week and tickets on resale for £220, the cost to see just some of the main headliners would cost you just £174.75. However, with a jaw-dropping 76 acts, you’re looking at £3 per act, some of which include greats like Mavis Staples, Patti Smith and Lionel Ritchie.
