Its the end of a chapter. A long glorious chapter indeed, but still the end, as Ruarri Joseph has announced his final solo artist tour before starting again with new band “William The Conqueror”.
“I can’t really call the autumn tour a greatest hits tour, because I don’t have any hits (!) but I will definitely be using the occasion to go through the catalogue as best as possible. I really hope you guys are in on this with me and that you can make it out to a show.”

25th Oct – Oporto Leeds (solo)
Ruarri Joseph is nearing the end of a long chapter in his musical career, before embarking on an exciting new one. The man which The Times describes as “One of our best songwriters and lyricists” will be playing around the country on October and November, playing a ‘best of’ set, drawing on songs from the last eight years. The ‘Farewell for now’ tour gives new and old fans a chance to enjoy the best of Ruarri Joseph before he moves on to a new project in 2016.
Originally born in Edinburgh, the nomadic Joseph found his song- writing roots in the southwestern Pacific. A move to New Zealand, and the young Ruarri found himself coming of age in Dannevirke (population 6,000), an isolated, rural farming community.
At 17 Joseph packed his suitcase and moved back to the UK and settled in London, where he released his debut album ‘Tales Of Grime and Grit’ through Atlantic Records. Shortly after he quit Atlantic in favour of independence and so in 2008, he formed his own label ‘Pip Productions’ through which all his subsequent LPs have been released.
