Track of the Day: Great Cynics – Want You Around (Chunky)
Who doesn’t love a bit of Great Cynics? Stick the new visuals for latest single ‘Want You Around (Chunky)’ in your eyes and tell us we’re wrong.
Taken from last year’s ‘I Feel Weird’ album, which was released via Specialist Subject, the track is the second from the record to get its own video.
As Giles from the band says – “I had this idea and thought it might be shit, but we tried it and it was just so much fun to do. Dean from Muncie Girls leant out of the back window of a car and filmed me bombing down a hill on my skateboard. It’s a classic hill to skate down at night. Our friend Jack Hyde (from The Cut Ups) put some animations on it and yeah, that’s about it! It cost 15 quid!”
The release of the video precedes the band’s forthcoming tour with Jeff Rosenstock which kicks off mid-March.
