The Gospel Youth Release Two New Songs

South Coast pop rock band The Gospel Youth have released two brand new songs. ‘Resolutions’ and ‘DST’ make up the band’s first release of 2016, following two EPs and appearances on bills with Mallory Knox, Deaf Havana, We Are The Ocean and more in 2015.

Of the tracks, vocalist Sam Little says “Resolutions and DST are a lot darker and probably a lot more bitter than anything anyone’s heard from us, but I think it’s the best we’ve ever sounded and we’re so excited to finally release them”

A 7″ vinyl of Resolutions / DST is available to preorder now via Scylla Records, and the songs will be released digitally by Speaking Tongues in the next few days.

The songs kick off the band’s 2016 single series, which will be funded in part by a crowd funding campaign. Sam had the following to say about the campaign:

“We’re trying something a little different for our second year as a band, something that means we’re basically putting our future in the hands of our fans. Even though we’re writing new material all the time, going into a studio and recording debut album felt like a mountain to climb when we started speaking about it, and we felt that releasing music gradually suits the way that we operate as a band – it also means the music gets to mature and grow with us. We wanted to give the people that believe in this as much as we do the opportunity to make a real difference, and we think we’ve put together that’s totally worth getting involved in”
