Taking a step back from his day job as the front man of Bath-based rock band Decade, songwriter Alex Sears has released another new single from his on and off side project Sophomore.
Writing, performing and recording the entire track himself, it’s a down tempo and low-key affair which grooves satisfyingly and broods with an intensity not often found on his regular fare.
Speaking about the track, he says: “I recorded this very quickly and roughly as I wanted to catch the vibe of the moment. The flat where I live has sash windows which are very old and aren’t very sound proof so I decided to record the noise from the city outside and add it in.”
