Introducing: Deltino Guerreiro
On such a sunny day how could we resist this vibrant, rhythmic new track from Mozambique’s Deltino Guerreiro, who is set to release his debut album ‘Eparaka’ (translates as ‘Blessed’ or ‘Blessing’ ) in the UK on April 8th.
Crossing African genres with soul and r&b influences and splicing them with low key house-infused beats, his lyrics may well be in Portugese, English and Macua but his music leaps continental boundaries and borders with ease.
With melodies reflecting Arabic music and the pulse of countries like Mali, Gambia or Burkina Faso, the sound of Deltino Guerreiro is the result of his experiences travelling from the North to the South of his country, drinking in a wealth of sounds and feelings to create something bigger than its constituent parts.
