Exeter-based rock newcomers WITTERQUICK have revealed their brand new single ‘Rise’, the latest track to be taken from their debut EP ‘Beneath The Spinning Lights’ released via LAB Records on 17th June, available to preorder on iTunes now.
The stream of the new song comes following a special BBC Introducing curated gig hosted by R1’s Huw Stephens and local BBC Introducing presenter James Santer, who were all part of an evening of live music at Exeter Phoenix with Muncie Girls, Tourists and Witterquick performing as part of BBC Radio 1’s #R1Academy project.
‘Rise’ just goes to show that this lot might have the chops to go all the way – a gargantuan, freewheeling rock song that sounds custom made for stadium stages, it’s part Oasis, part Young Guns, and a whole lot of fun. Enormously enjoyable rock with no apologies.
