We’re very pleased to be premiering a new track from songwriter Samuel Jack on the site today – you can check out ‘Making It Rain’ below.
Born in London, his childhood was spent following his father around the world in pursuit of his career. Settling in Johannesburg aged 12, he soon returned to the UK, with frequent visits to the Netherlands to see his mother.
Currently living in Dorset, Samuel gave up the creature comforts of his studio apartment to live, write and record in a caravan. Yes, a caravan.
Something seems to be working, as Samuel has now written and recorded a debut EP & full-length album to follow this year, and was invited to play at Glastonbury 2015 with track placements on a number of US hit TV shows including Nashville, Satisfaction, About A Boy & Grimm [Ed – Okay, where can we get a caravan? Somebody get on autotrader please].
‘Making It Rain’ is a stunningly emotive piece of songwriting that pulses with power and is chock full of ethereal elements & stunning motifs – if it’s a sign of things to come, he might not be in that caravan for much longer.
