Win An Opening Slot On The Fireball UK Tour This October

Local bands are in luck today, as it’s been announced they’re in with a chance of playing their respective hometown date on the first ever ‘Fireball – Fuelling The Fire Tour’, joining a bill that already boasts Florida ska-punk pioneers Less Than Jake, with support from modern British reggae torchbearers The Skints and Los Angeles amigos Mariachi El Bronx.

The competition opens at 9am on Monday 11th July 2016 giving eight lucky bands the opportunity to win a 20 minute opening slot on their local date, with full branded Fireball backline provided for the gig on their behalf.

To enter, simply head to: https://academymusicgroup.com/fireballcompetition
and fill in the entry form fields, telling us why your band should open the tour in your city. The competition closes on Sunday 14th August 2016 at 11.59pm and winners will be judged and selected by a panel of music industry experts, journalists and the bands from the tour. Full terms and conditions can be found on the website.

The winners will then be announced on Friday 26th August 2016.

Commenting on the news, Fireball UK Brand Manager James Pattison says:

“We are delighted to offer the opportunity to open our inaugural ‘Fireball – Fuelling The Fire’ tour shows to up and coming, independent, grass-roots British bands at each of our 8 shows this October. There is so much talent at a local level in the UK, and it’s part of our long term aim at Fireball UK to help bring these musicians to the fore and create some unforgettable experiences for fans of the brand.”

The tour – a celebration of punk rock, ska, reggae and roots music featuring some of the best live bands the international punk scene has to offer – is set to hit the road in the UK throughout October 2016 with Japanese ska punks KEMURI and Melbourne psychedelic reggae ska doom metal punk rockers, The Bennies, joining on select dates.

Tickets are incredible value costing just £10 each and are on sale now. The tour spans eight nights including a stop at O2 Academy Brixton in London on Thursday 6th October with a very special DJ set from Kerrang! Radio, Scuzz TV and Team Rock Radio presenter and punk fanatic, Matt Stocks.
