Camden Rocks Festival confirm Merseyside’s indie rock legends, The Coral, Sheffield’s Reverend and The Makers, and more will join the 2017 festival line-up.
Dubbed simply “amazing” by the NME in a glowing four-star review for their triumphant seventh album ‘Distance Inbetween’ in 2016, The Coral will make their only London performance of this year exclusively at Camden Rocks Festival 2017 with a set spanning their platinum-selling back catalogue.
Speaking ahead of their performance Reverend and The Makers frontman Jon McClure says: “We are looking forward to Camden Rocks! We played it before and it was mega. There are so many great bands this year, and Camden is always lairy and brilliant. Let’s have it!”
Also topping the line-up this year are punk rock legends, The Damned. Who, following the 40^th anniversary of their debut single ‘New Rose’, thus marking the 40^th birthday of punk itself as the first British band to release a punk single in 1976, will play a very special setlist exclusively for Camden Rocks 2017 spanning their earliest material, celebrating Camden Town’s central role through punk history. “Never mind the Sex Pistols… it was The Damned who pioneered UK punk”, Noisey reported recently.
Having also recently announced The Rifles, Milburn, Carl Barat and the Jackals, Orange Goblin, Ruts DC, The King Blues & many more, this year sees Camden Rocks Festival pushing boundaries further still, set to host 250 bands and artists across 25 of Camden Town’s revered music venues on June 3^rd 2017.
