MARMOZETS’ 2014 debut ‘The Weird and Wonderful Marmozets’ became one of British alt-rock’s most acclaimed albums of recent years, winning Kerrang!’s coveted ‘Album Of The Year’ award. Over the course of the album campaign, they played shows with the likes of Muse and Royal Blood, plus hit all of the major festivals including Glastonbury, where they headlined the BBC Introducing Stage.
Now MARMOZETS are back and have confirmed details of a special warm-up tour ahead of their sets at next month’s Reading and Leeds festivals. The shows come as the band prepare the final touches for their eagerly anticipated second album which has been produced by Gil Norton (Foo Fighters, Pixies).
Speaking about the new album earlier this year, vocalist Becca Macintyre commented: “The sound we have so far is incredible. It’s still very much Marmozets and when you listen to it, it sounds like we’ve all recorded it in the same room. That’s exactly how it should be. It transmits the energy that we have when we play live.”
MARMOZETS’ forthcoming tour dates are scheduled as below:
August
17th – Newcastle, Think Tank?
18th – Sheffield, Plug
19th – Liverpool, Arts Club
