MINISTRY OF SOUND PARTNERS WITH CLASSIC IBIZA

Revival Productions, organisers of Classic Ibiza, is delighted to announce that it has partnered with Ministry of Sound, the leading dance music brand, for two live outdoor concerts at Knebworth House in Hertfordshire and Bolesworth Castle in Cheshire this summer.

Classic Ibiza sees the Urban Soul Orchestra (USO) and DJ Goldierocks perform a playlist of iconic dance music anthems from the ‘White Island’. USO has played and recorded with a veritable whos who of dance music, including Nightmares On Wax, Groove Armada, Ultra Naté, Octave One, Full Intention, Soul II Soul, Robert Miles, Sonique and Spiller.

The concert kicks-off with a chill-out set: Les Nuits (Nightmares On Wax), Teardrop (Massive Attack), At The River (Groove Armada), Here With Me (Dido), Unfinished Sympathy (Massive Attack), Café De Flores (Dr Rockit), So Good To Me (Chris Malinchak), Waves (Mr Probz), Chasing Cars (Snow Patrol), Children (Robert Miles), Barber’s Adagio For Strings (William Orbit) and Blackwater (Octave One).

In the second half the concert enters full-on party mode with some real dance-floor favourites, old and new: Right Here, Right Now (Fat Boy Slim), Insomnia (Faithless), Easy/Superstylin’ (Groove Armada), Sing It Back (Moloko), Found A Cure (Ultra Naté), Music Sounds Better With You (Stardust), One More Time (Daft Punk), Blind Faith (Chase & Status), Born Slippy (Underworld), Knights Of The Jaguar (DJ Rolando), Sandstorm (Darude), Titanium (David Guetta), Summer (Calvin Harris) and Don’t You Worry Child (Swedish House Mafia).

Lisa Ward, Director of Revival Productions, commented: “There is no stronger illustration of what we have created with Classic Ibiza than the endorsement of Ministry of Sound. They continue to be the heartbeat for dance music lovers across the globe, spanning generations and genres. We look forward to developing a strong relationship with them to further enhance the experience of our audience now and in the future.”

Andrew Akuffo, Ministry of Sound’s Director of Events & Brand, said: “We’re really excited about partnering with Classic Ibiza on these shows. These are the songs that helped to create incredible moments at our events over the last 25 years. Now, in these amazing settings and with a full orchestra, our audiences; both experienced and contemporary, can enjoy the tracks in a completely new way.”

Stephen Hussey, conductor of USO, added: “The Classic Ibiza formula works so well because it is something new and different that appeals to so many people: Ibiza dance tunes meets classical orchestra; stunning stately home meets music festival. Having Ministry of Sound’s endorsement turns the dial up to 11!”

Venues and dates: Blickling Estate, Norfolk (11 August); Knebworth House, Hertfordshire (19 August)*; and Bolesworth Castle, Cheshire (01 September)*.
*in association with Ministry of Sound.

Tickets: £35 (or £38 on the night).
