Marmozets announce rescheduled dates

MARMOZETS have been forced to cancel the remaining dates of their current UK tour after vocalist Becca MacIntyre developed bronchitis and a respiratory infection. The shows have already been rescheduled to recommence next week, with their sold-out London show at The Garage now set for November 9th.

The band stated: “Becca has developed bronchitis and a respiratory infection and while firstly that means you wouldn’t be getting the show you want, and we want, it also wouldn’t be right for her to perform and risk her voice long-term. We’re so bummed about this, and we hope that you understand we didn’t make the decision lightly.”

Tickets remain valid for the rescheduled shows. Any fans who can’t attend the new dates are eligible for a refund from their point of purchase. The tour now runs as follows:

November
1st – Portsmouth, Wedgewood Rooms
2nd – Norwich, Arts Centre
6th – Bristol, The Fleece
7th – Bournemouth, The Old Fire Station
9th – London, The Garage

The tour previews the January 26th release of MARMOZETS’ long-awaited second album ‘KNOWING WHAT YOU KNOW NOW’. Produced by the legendary GIL NORTON (Foo Fighters, Pixies), it’s the band’s most ambitious and accomplished offering to date.

The reaction to the album’s first track ‘Play’ felt as if they’d never been away. ‘Play’ was premiered as Daniel P Carter’s Rockest Record and then received the almost unheard of accolade of also being chosen as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record too. And the attention kept on coming: Scott Mills and Annie Mac both named ‘Play’ as their Tune of the Week before it was subsequently playlisted at Radio 1 – a timely reminder of just how brilliant MARMOZETS are. That rush of attention continued when Annie Mac also highlighted the follow-up ‘Habits’ as her Hottest Record too.
